Rapport/ Update:
Since the devastating earthquake, AKASAN joined a global konbit of Haitians struggling to defy death and depression. With proceeds from the February 2010 fundraising efforts, a 20 foot container of mobility equipments (wheelchairs, walkers and rehabilitation tools) was successfully delivered to St-Croix Hospital, in Leogane Haiti, on May 13, 2010.
The 2010 Premye Bourad competition provides support to two ongoing agricultural projects, one near Bainet (bean seeds productions) and one near Jacmel (pepper production).
The revised deadline to submit grant or loan applications for the 2011 Premye Bourad Competition is MAY 31, 2011

Inspired by the Haitian proverb "4 je kontre manti kaba" (when four eyes meet there is no space for deceit), AKASAN makes use of audio, video, multimedia support to help everyone bear witness, verify and be inspired by incremental progress accomplished by Haitian-led, Haitian capacity building initiatives that focus on improving the quality of life of Haitians in Haiti and elsewhere.
