WHAT IS AKASAN?

AKASAN is a worldwide konbit of Haitians mobilizing resources to support worthy initiatives undertaken by and for Haitians.

AKASAN is the brand name of a popular Haitian corn-based meal reputed for its high energy content. Many Haitians, especially those who stem from poor and middle-class families, hold a special place in their heart for this meal which helped sustain them many a school day.

Ayisyen Ki Ap Soutni Ayisyen Nètalkole literally translates as: Haitians Supporting Haitians All The Way.

In our efforts to help secure better quality of life for Haitians everywhere, we shall not rest until Haitians:

Produce Enough Food for national consumption and emergency reserves.

Develop a Health Care System equiped with hospitals and clinics that provide quality health care for inhabitants of each community of the Republic.

Develop a Globally-Competitive Knowledge Sharing System that is scientific, sustainable & adaptabe to needed improvements one generation to the next.

Build the Infrastructure of Haiti, including dams, irrigation canals and a true network of roads that connects all the cities and villages of the 27750 square kilometers that belong to the Nation.
